I am running into the same problem, I wrote a PowerShell script that hopefully someone out there can help with. I am using the following modules in the script:
- Windows Silent Install Switches For Doors
- Msi Silent Install
- Windows Silent Install Switches For Home
- Windows Silent Install Switches For Sale
- Windows Update Silent Install Switches
- Windows Silent Install Switches
- Trying to install Google Chrome v42 via MSI was failing for me using the silent install commands in this post. When I ran the MSI manually, i found that it pops up a UAC prompt, and that the silent install was failing due to the UAC prompt being blocked. This is a really good article explaining the relationship between MSI and UAC.
- Command Line Switches Switch Parameters Action /auto Upgrade; DataOnly; Clean Automate install with migration choice for the installation. The media setup UI and progress screens are shown by default, but are automated.
Hi, We are trying to roll-out Windows 10 upgrade (from Win7) to our user community and would like to do this silently. Is there a utility available I can download and use for this purpose?
Active Directory

PSWindowsUpdate
Remote-PSRemoting
NOTE:
The part that isn't working is this block I am not able to accept the install silently:
(sorry script to long need to post several times)
Invoke-Command-Session$S-ScriptBlock{
Register-ScheduledJob-Name'Window 10 Upgrade'-RunNow-ScriptBlock{
Import-ModulePSWindowsUpdate-Verbose
Get-WUInstall-UpdateTypeSoftware-KBArticleIDKB3012973-AcceptAll-AutoReboot-Verbose
}
If you are physically at the computer and have the files for the PSWindowsUpdate stored in the correct locations you can simply run this set of commands it will download and go through install but not silent:
Import-ModulePSWindowsUpdate-Verbose
Get-WUInstall-UpdateTypeSoftware-KBArticleIDKB3012973-AcceptAll-AutoReboot-Verbose
The script also assumes that that these modules are already installed or available to the server running the commands, WMI windows firewall inbound rules need to be enabled on remote computer, and must be an admin on remote computer as well as the server.

Need to have at least Windows Management Framework 3.0 installed, recommend 4.0 on the server you are executing remote commands on as well as on the workstation that you are creating the PS Session on.
Here is the script:
#Enter AD search string
Write-Host'Please enter a search string to generate an AD Computer list. Use * as a wild card (Ex. 'Test*' will give you any computer in Active Directory that starts with 'Test')'-ForegroundColor'Yellow'-BackgroundColor'Red'
$readList=Read-Host
Set-Location'C:Program FilesWindowsPowerShell'-Verbose
#Check to see of module is installed, if not install it Object-oriented software engineering book pdf.
$test=Test-Path'C:Program FilesWindowsPowerShellModulesRemote_PSRemoting'
if(!($test))
{
Install-ModuleRemote_PSRemoting-Verbose

}
#Import module for use

I have a MSI package that I need to install if the package is not already installed. Also I need to install it silently. The package prompts user for:
- Installation location (C:Program FilesFoobar)
- Install type: minimal and full (minimal)
Windows Silent Install Switches For Doors
I need to override these two parameters using command line parameters or some other method. So how do I go about these two issues. I'll use VBScript for scripting.

You should be able to use the
/quiet
or /qn
options with msiexec
to perform a silent install.Msi Silent Install
MSI packages export public properties, which you can set with the
PROPERTY=value
syntax on the end of the msiexec
parameters.For example, this command installs a package with no UI and no reboot, with a log and two properties:
Windows Silent Install Switches For Home
You can read the options for
PolynomialPolynomialmsiexec
by just running it with no options from Start -> Run.21.8k66 gold badges6969 silver badges100100 bronze badges
The proper way to install an MSI silently is via the
msiexec.exe command line
as follows:Quick explanation:
There is a much more comprehensive answer here: Batch script to install MSI. This answer provides details on the msiexec.exe command line options and a description of how to find the 'public properties' that you can set on the command line at install time. These properties are generally different for each MSI.
